Our Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Training will teach you how to safely guide a wide variety of yoga classes including but not limited to; hatha, vinyasa, gentle, restorative, power yoga, kids yoga, prenatal yoga, Yoga Ayurveda and more.
This training is designed for a wide variety of student backgrounds, whether you are brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years.

How to compose and guide safe, creative and alignment-based class sequences that are student-centered.

6 months of training, meeting one or two weekends per month (8 total weekends) in the beautiful and peaceful setting of Pungo, Virginia Beach. You will study and practice on our private property, nestled within the tranquility of towering Virginia pines and wildlife—yet still steps away from Back Bay waterfront, offering amazing views of sunrise and sunset.

This is our hearts' work—to share yoga with the world in a way that honors the ancient aspect of these teachings, in a modern way that works for the modern yogi. We encourage students to think outside of the box in how they may share yoga with the world. It doesn't always have to be in the yoga studio! How can you bring yoga to your home? Your workplace? Helping you bridge that connection is our specialty, as we have done so in our own lives and have helped countless students do the same!
We like to have fun! By participating in our training you are sure to laugh, play and release your inner child. We like to bring creativity and humor into our yoga teacher trainings, while still maintaining professionalism and honoring the sacred aspects of our yoga practices.
We have a passion for hand and arm balancing and are excited to share it with our students! By participating in our training you can ensure you will walk away—perhaps on your hands ;) — with the ability to safely practice and guide students into hand and arm balances.
As parents we have a soft spot in our hearts for sharing mindfulness practices with children. As we often say in our trainings, yoga is a practice of unlearning. We as children were born with a "purity" of mind, body and spirit. It is our mission to help raise our children and the future generations to "hold onto" that pureness by learning mindfulness practices early. By participating in our teacher training, you will learn key principles for sharing yoga with children.
In addition to our passion for yoga, we are passionate about many movement modalities. Movement is healing! By participating in our teacher training you will learn and experience a variety of movement modalities and how you can bring mindfulness into each. Topics include but are not limited to; the power of breath for athletes, mind-body awareness for athletes, the healing power of dance, meditating on the move and more!
Ayurveda is the sister science to Yoga. By participating in our training you will simultaneously complete our Intro to Ayurveda course, created by Lead Facilitator Lindsay Richards Braade, Certified Ayurvedic Counselor. This material is truly unique to other teacher training programs as it dives deep into Ayurvedic principles on how to live an Ayurvedic lifestyle and counsel others.
Owner and Lead Facilitator Lindsay Richards Braade has over 15 years' experience in the digital marketing and advertising industry. Our yoga teacher training includes the practical steps on how to get started as a successful entrepreneur in the wellness industry. Topics include but are not limited to; how to register an LLC, how to set up automated business accounting, how to build a business website and online presence, how to set up digital advertising and marketing and more.
